On Feb 1st 2021, Myanmar people woke up to the news of a coup led by general Min Aung Hlaing.

Contesting the results of the November general election won by National League for Democracy, the junta finally seized power.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets, hundreds have been arrested or killed as the repression gets more brutal every day.

On the following days, young reporters went spontaneously in the streets to photograph the protests.

The aim is to document the revolution on a day to day basis in Upper Burma, Shan, Kachin, Rakhine states, Sagaing Region & Yangon.

This ongoing project is a rare on the ground series of reporting shedding a light to the situation in Myanmar. The Myanmar Project is born.
